THE SATTELITE DIGEST IS ALWAYS PACKED WITH COMMENTS AND NEWS. HOW ABOUT APRS?....... WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK ABOUT APRS? PERSONALLY ....I BELIEVE IT IS A FANTASTIC PROGRAM THAT HAS TONS OF POTENTIAL FOR FUN AND EMERGENCIES! THE AUTHOR, HOWEVER, NEED TO STOP UPDATING THE PROGRAM SO FREQUENTLY. THIS SEEMS TO BE TURNING MANY APRS'ERS OFF DU TO THE PROBLEM OF KEEPING UP WITH THE MOST CURRENT VERSION. ALSO THE NEWER VERSIONS HAVE CHANGED THE HELP AND MENU CONFIGURATIONS.....WHICH TAKES A FEW DAYS OF "RELEARNING" :-( ANYONE WHO HASN'T TRIES APRS SHOULD GIVE IT A TRY AND I SUGGEST YOU GET AT LEAST 2 OR 3 OF YOU TO EXPERIMENT WITH IT LOCALLY.........IT LEARNS FASTER THAT WAY AND IS MORE FUN WHEN YOU CAN SEE WHAT THE OTHER GUY IS DOING ON HIS SCREEN! :-) 73.s de N7RBP ------------------------------ End of Packet-Radio Digest V94 #46 ******************************
